Residential Treatment Centers
Residential treatment centers treat adolescents, teens, and young adults who have serious psychological and behavior issues. These centers are the most clinically sophisticated in the spectrum of programs – and tend to be Joint Commission (JCAHO) accredited. The student’s treatment is individually planned and monitored, and intensive individual and family therapy is standard protocol. Medication management and medical monitoring is generally available on site. Residential treatment centers are nurturing, highly structured, and offer both recreational activities and academics – incorporated into a 24/7 therapeutic milieu. Admissions are rolling and the length of stay, while flexible, averages about 6-10 months.
