Special Needs

Students who are making inappropriate choices may be candidates for special schools and programs, including:

• Emotional growth boarding schools
• Residential treatment centers
• Short-term therapeutic wilderness programs
• Transitional schools

Working closely with families in crisis, Robinovitz gathers information from therapists, psychiatrists, and teachers to effect appropriate therapeutic placements. Such schools and programs empower students to make healthy decisions and deal effectively with issues of substance abuse, oppositional behavior, depression, self-esteem, peer relations, and school failure.

Follow-up

Robinovitz maintains contact with families and schools/programs throughout the term of placement, ensuring that students’ emotional and academic needs are met.
