Providing thousands of Florida students with special needs the opportunity to attend a participating private school
Florida’s school choice programs ensure that no child will be left behind by allowing parents to choose the best educational setting – public or private – for their child. The McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program provides thousands of Florida students with special needs the opportunity to attend a participating private school.
In order to be eligible for a McKay Scholarship – which provides funds to offset tuition at Score Academy – a parent must apply for the program prior to withdrawing from public school. The student must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP)* or 504 Accommodation Plan, and meet additional requirements as outlined on the School Choice website.
