SAT “Score Choice”

Last Updated: Jan 9, 2009 12:00:00 AM

Although the College Board announced a “score choice” policy this past June that would allow students who are currently juniors or younger to determine which sets of scores to share with colleges, the policy has stirred much controversy among colleges and the College Board appears to be sending a somewhat different message to colleges. It is possible that a college will ask students to send ALL their scores rather than selected scores.

Truly, this is very confusing, even for professionals like me. So the best advice I can offer is to be sure that you are always prepared when you take an SAT or SAT Subject Test! And be sure to ask the colleges to which you are planning to apply about their score-reporting policy.
