In fact, it has probably increased in the face of so many colleges going test-optional because of COVID-19. Admissions officers will scrutinize your activities list and read between the lines to understand the true nature of your involvement to each activity. That brings us to activity “fundamentals” – what you must strive to include in your list.

Three Good Reasons to Start Prepping for the GRE

All three reasons share one key element, time.

Reason #1: There are two upcoming GREs in the near future. 

The next two test dates are September 12th and October 17th. Students who miss those administrations – or sit for them but don’t do well (possibly due to lack of proper preparation) will have plenty of time to work on practice test questions, and sit for full simulations, which we can provide, in order to learn where you most need to improve. Identifying your weaknesses is critical to improvement; both learning and improvement work take time.

High school students applying to college may have gone wide-eyed at the news that some of the colleges they are strongly considering have gone "test optional" – meaning that ACT and SAT scores are not required. While that’s true, it’s not the same as saying that ACT and SAT scores don’t matter. In fact, ACT and SAT scores will be considered if submitted.
