She holds a Bachelors in Science in Biology and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida. As a self-proclaimed foodie, she loves to bake and cook and tried new recipes often. She also deeply cares about her students and works hard in every way she can to help them succeed. Ilene Kent is a second generation Florida native, raised in Wellington, Florida. She graduated in 2012 from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton with Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Ilene joined the Score Academy staff in Palm Beach Gardens in Aug of 2017. Her exceptional ability as a teacher who is able to connect with her students was noticed almost immediately, and Kathy Rogers, the Learning Center Director for PBG, snatched her up to begin tutoring. Luke joins us from Watchung, NJ. After moving to Florida to become a professional golfer and, Like decided he wanted a bit more and joined our staff as a tutor. Luke graduated from Cornell in 2017 where he majored in Statistics. Luke specializes in math tutoring for middle school and high school students students. He takes a comprehensive approach to teaching by figuring out how each student learns and assessing study habits. Additionally, he also teaches students how to prioritize time on exams and how to read textbooks properly to help stay ahead in the class.

How is the ACT scored?

The ACT uses raw scores from each section to create test scores that range from 1 to 36. These scores are then turned into a composite score of up to 36.

What ACT score does it take to get into college?

Colleges have their own admissions guidelines regarding ACT scores and other admissions factors. Review our recommended PDF to learn more about specific universities in Florida.

Do ACT tutoring services improve test scores?

Students who seriously study with Score At The Top can expect to increase composite scores by at least 3 points. Some students have increased their scores by over 10 points. Score At The Top doesn’t guarantee score gains for standardized tests.

When should a student start ACT test prep?

We recommend students begin preparing for the ACT the summer after tenth grade. Continue scheduling tutoring sessions until your student finishes his or her final ACT.
